Income Verification

The documents lenders need to confirm your earnings. Varies by employment type.

What is Income Verification?

Income verification is the documentation you provide to prove your earnings to a lender. PAYG employees typically provide 2 recent payslips and a group certificate. Self-employed applicants provide 1–2 years of business tax returns plus BAS. Investors provide rental statements and lease agreements.

Why it matters for you

Each lender's verification requirements differ. Some accept 1 year of financials for established professionals; others require 2. Shift work, locum work, bonuses and allowances are treated very differently between lenders — matching you to the right one matters.
