Knockdown Rebuild

Demolish an old home and build a new one on the same land.

What is Knockdown Rebuild?

A knockdown rebuild is a building strategy where you purchase (or already own) a property, demolish the existing house, and construct a new home on the same land. Financed through a construction loan, similar to a house & land package but retaining the existing land.

Why it matters for you

A cost-effective path to a new home in an established suburb where vacant land is scarce. Depreciation benefits of a new build, often at a fraction of the premium you'd pay for a comparable new home elsewhere. Finance requires coordinated demolition, construction and council approvals.
