Pre-Settlement Inspection

Final walk-through before handover. Last chance to raise issues.

What is Pre-Settlement Inspection?

A pre-settlement inspection is your final walk-through of the property within the week before settlement — typically 3–5 days out. You confirm the property is in the condition agreed at contract, all inclusions are present, and no new damage has occurred.

Why it matters for you

Issues raised during pre-settlement can be resolved before handover — after settlement, your leverage disappears. Check: all appliances working, no new damage, agreed repairs completed, inclusions list (stove, dishwasher, blinds, etc.) intact. Raise anything immediately with your conveyancer.
